SUMMARY:Introductory Beekeeping Course
DESCRIPTION:This is an introductory beekeeping course for anyone considering taking up beekeeping or who wishes to learn more about honey bees. We’ll meet in our training apiary near Elgin for a presentation then\, after lunch\, you will meet the bees. We will lend you a bee suit and gloves and show you the fascinating world inside a hive of bees\, and teach you the basics of handling them. \n\n\n\nIn the course you will learn about the life history of the honeybee and find out what is required to get you started as a beekeeper. \n\n\n\nWe ask for a donation of £30 for the course and this includes access to our course hand outs\, refreshments during the day\, a soup and sandwich lunch and the use of the protective clothing when we meet for the demonstrations in the apiary. \n\n\n\nNumbers for the introductory beekeeping course are restricted to 12 participants\, so early booking is recommended. \n\n\n\nMoray Beekeepers Association was established in 1919. We are a growing number of mostly amateur beekeepers located in North East Scotland\, with the association being based in Moray. \n\n\n\nMBA exists to promote and foster an interest in the study\, development and practice of beekeeping and to protect and conserve the future of the honeybee in Moray and Scotland.

SUMMARY:Bingo Revolution
DESCRIPTION:Get ready to experience a truly revolutionary event with Bingo Revolution! This one-of-a-kind event is returning to the Elgin Town Hall on June 3rd\, 2023\, with the show that has taken the country by storm. \n\n\n\nBingo Revolution is the brainchild of Granny Fanny and DJ Jim Slipp. Granny Fanny had always dreamed of being a bingo caller\, but she settled for letting someone else handle the balls. DJ Jim Slipp\, on the other hand\, was a seasoned club DJ who had spent most of his life behind the decks. One fateful night\, the two collided on the dancefloor of an Ibiza superclub\, and the rest is history. \n\n\n\nWhat if they could combine the excitement of a proper night out with the thrill of playing bingo? They set out to create an event that would be like no other. They spent months planning and preparing\, with Granny Fanny teaching DJ Jim Slipp how to tell his two little ducks from his two fat ladies\, and DJ Jim Slipp teaching Granny Fanny how to let loose and have a good time. \n\n\n\nFinally\, the day arrived\, and Bingo Revolution was born. DJ Jim Slipp was on the decks\, Granny Fanny was dancing and dishing out the winnings\, and a top comedian was on number calling duties. The crowd was buzzing with excitement\, and there were queues stretching across the entire North of England. \n\n\n\nAs the night went on\, the energy in the room was electric. People were dancing\, singing\, and laughing\, and the prizes were truly life-changing. There were even dance offs\, lip sync battles\, and pig throwing contests in the event of draws. Everyone was having the time of their lives\, and there were loads of photos for Facebook to prove it. \n\n\n\nNow\, Bingo Revolution is back\, and it’s bigger and better than ever before. Cal Halbert will be your host for the evening\, with Idah Dunim bringing all the prizes and surprises\, and DJ Jim Slipp playing all the hits from the 80s\, 90s\, and today. Don’t miss out on this fun-packed evening of bingo and a proper night out. Let loose\, leave your worries at the door\, and get ready for a night to remember!
