DESCRIPTION:The CannonBawz Run is a car rally which has taken hundreds of Cars and entrants on exciting journeys all across Scotland since 2015. Watch the start of the tour on the Plainstones. \n\n\n\nStart in Elgin\n\n\n\nIt all begins on Elgin High Street\, IV30 1BW. Lining up in the morning from 9am. Participants will be checked in and lined up with all the other cars. This highly anticipated event showcases the exceptional talents of the Elgin Strathspey & Reel Society\, Guest Artiste the Shand Family\, introduced by compere\, Gary Coull\, and conducted by the accomplished Stephen Cooper. \n\n\n\nEstablished in 1936 by Joe Murray\, the Elgin Strathspey & Reel Society is a Scottish Fiddle Orchestra dedicated to promoting and preserving traditional music. The society has played numerous concerts in the local area and traveled abroad to share its passion for music. The Orchestra has a storied history\, overcoming challenges and emerging stronger each time\, thanks to the dedication of its members and leaders. \n\n\n\nThe late Willie MacPherson and Bill Brian revitalized the society in 1970\, setting the stage for continued growth and success. Over the years\, the society has flourished under the guidance of remarkable musical directors\, including John Winton\, Bill Brian\, and Ena Brian\, each of whom contributed their unique talents and expertise to the group. \n\n\n\nToday\, the Elgin Strathspey & Reel Society is led by conductor Stephen Cooper\, who brings a wealth of musical experience to elevate the ensemble to new heights.
