DESCRIPTION:ODTC Goes to the Movies! – Out of the Darkness Theatre Company’s first devised production of the year\, based on members favourite movie choices! \n\n\n\nOut of the Darkness Theatre Company is a small theatre company located in Elgin\, Scotland\, who create and perform an inclusive and engaging programme of theatre and training. The company was established in 1992 to advance the education and to promote the welfare of people with learning challenges which will enable people with learning challenges to fully express themselves through the creative arts. \n\n\n\nIn ODTC Goes to the Movies you will observe all genres and extracts taken and adapted from famous movie scenes\, with an ODTC twist\, and performed for your viewing pleasure. \n\n\n\nThis production has a mix of dance\, singing\, acting and film. The filmed content was completed throughout the COVID 19 period when ODTC were unable to perform live and had to find other ways of being creative with their work. The acting scenes were worked on through the spring to summer period. \n\n\n\nThe Tech\, Media and Multi-Arts Team have created an outstanding set and delivered an array of props\, detailed costumes\, artwork\, sound and lighting\, every element is crucial to the overall vision of the show. \n\n\n\nThe Performance Group have created\, devised\, rehearsed\, and performed their hearts out to ensure that every character and detail is visually delivered to demonstrate the skills and notes given in each session with confidence. \n\n\n\nFind out more direct from ODTC.

Their stage shows have become a hit with audiences across the UK\, packing major city center theaters\, concert halls\, arts centers\, and festivals. Many young audiences have their first taste of live theater at a McDougalls performance. Their productions have gained a popular reputation with children around the world\, with their albums\, digital music\, and online TV shows gaining fans in the USA\, Spain\, Greece\, and Australia. In addition to their popular stage shows\, their educational musicals for schools and nurseries are performed for 20\,000 pupils each year. These include “Go Global” and “Green Machine.” They are based in the West of Scotland\, and their work is created and performed by the award-winning duo Ruairidh Forde and Ryan Moir.

Meanwhile\, Davy gets a job in a call center while his parents argue over his father’s infidelity. The musical explores the challenges of love\, family\, and friendship with humor and good heart.
