Live music performances on one outdoor stage by world renowned names weren’t the only entertainment in this family event.The festival includes food stalls\, face painting loads of music making for a light-hearted family day out which made sure all the kids were entertained. 2023 was even bigger and better! 2 large outdoor stages\, more bars\, more food and drink stalls\, funfair and so much more! \n\n\n\nSaturday MacMoray Line Up\n\n\n\nBlue\, Peter Andre\, The Hoosiers\, Torridon\, Hue & Cry\, D:Ream\, DJ Sammy\, Cartoons\, Bad Actress\, Cala\, Forgetting the Future\, Verii\, Oxbow Lake Band\, Moray Concert Brass \n\n\n\nSunday MacMoray Line Up\n\n\n\nScouting for Girls\, Basshunter\, Whigfield\, Gareth Gates\, Bad Manners\, The Drifters\, Boyzlife\, Drew Dixon\, Chris Slade Timeline\, Black Lace\, Tweed\, Dylan James Tierney\, Macta\, Be Like Pablo \n\n\n\nMacMoray Music Festival will be hosted by DJ Jammie and Miss Lossie Mouth\, and it expected that the Elgin District Pipe Band and Mackay Mini Pipe Band will appear. \n\n\n\nDay tickets are £45 for adults\, £25 for 11-17 year olds\, £15 for 5-10 year olds and £5 for under 5’s. Weekend tickets and motorhome tickets are also available.

The first prognosis wasn’t good news and she was told treatment would be with palliative intent. Then the fantastic team in Aberdeen decided that 4 surgeons would perform a life changing 8hr operation to remove Nickys stomach\, spleen and 24 lymph nodes. The operation in November went so well the prognosis changed to treatment with intent to cure. \nNicky went through all this\, including losing her dear dad at end of October\, with a courage that leaves us all so proud to call her our “daughter\, sister\, Auntie and dear friend” \nNicky with her team “Nickys Crew” just raised over £10\,500 for Race for Life in Inverness\, and is now hosting this event to raise money for Friends of The Oaks and The Spey Unit at Dr Gray’s Elgin. \nWe hope you can join us in a night of fun to raise funds for these fantastic charities. Donations for the raffle would be greatly received.

To quote two of Johnny’s favorite critiques about his performance. \n“Johnny is doing Elvis proud\, when you meet him it’s like you’ve met your new best friend just like it was with Elvis”  Charles Stones (elvis tour manager)  \n“Boy\, you sure brought back a lot of great memories for me with what you just done on that stage” Sam Thompson (Elvis’ bodyguard & close friend) \nJohnny has received many awards and accolades for his very accurate and sincere performances. In 2019 he was inducted into the ‘International Elvis Presley Tribute Artist hall of fame’ (a very prestigious award indeed). Prior to this Johnny took first place at the 2015 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Preliminaries in Penticton BC Canada. This Qualification saw Johnny go on to become the only Scotsman to have made the top ten final at the Ultimate Elvis Contest in Memphis. All this on the same stage Elvis performed on all those years ago. Before that in 2014 Johnny won the European Elvis Presley Tribute Artist championships in Birmingham England. He says that although he has had great success in contests and events all around the world\, his greatest honour as an Elvis Tribute Artist\, was when he was invited to perform as part of the queens jubilee celebrations held in front of thousands of people on George Square Glasgow Scotland. This event was held in in the summer of 2012. The only Elvis Tribute Artist ever to do this with a live 10 piece band. \nIn 2010 Johnny represented Scotland at the Elvis World Cup Championships where the final was held at the St David’s hall in Cardiff Wales. One of the judges involved with this event was none other than close friend of Elvis\, Joe Esposito. Very much to Johnnys surprise he became World Cup Champion that day coming out on top through a very talented international competition. The media attention brought about from becoming a World Champion Elvis Tribute Artist seen him appear and perform on TV talk shows such as STV’s ‘The Hour’ show and BBC’s ‘The One’ show. As well as getting a mention that day on BBC and Sky news. From this success and TV exposure Johnny was invited to take his show on various prestigious Cruise ship liners in the Mediterranean and Baltic cruises. \nIn 2023 Johnny won the Ultimate Elvis Contest qualifier in Parkes Sydney Australia which will take him to memphis for a second time to compete for the World championship finals.
